I was wondering what it would be to try and transfer something created digitally, such as a video game logo, to traditional media, such as a stretched canvas board with acrylic markers. So I started with the Quake logo:

The result was pretty nice, especially with the different finish on the logo and background. So I thought I’d try another iD Software game – Doom. This was significantly more tricky,  since the Quake logo has a distinguished shape, but the logo has many different variations, however the classic Doom logo has a very specific design and color scheme. I kind of figured things out on the go (as with the Quake logo to an extent), but after getting over the limitations of the traditional media I was using, I was pretty happy with that result as well:
